Business Tax Preparation for New Jersey S Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs
Entity returns are the core of this practice. We prepare the business return and the owners' personal returns together, so the K-1 and the 1040 agree with each other.
Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, weekends 11am to 5pm. After hours, book a time.

Pass-through entity tax
Pay state tax through the business. Deduct it federally.
New Jersey's Business Alternative Income Tax and New York's pass-through entity tax turn a limited personal deduction into a full federal business deduction. The election has deadlines and estimated payments of its own.
- We model it owner by owner and tell you whether it pays
- We file the election and the quarterly estimated payments
- We time the payments so the federal deduction lands in the right year
- Each owner's credit lands on the personal return, including New Jersey credit for New York PTET
S Corporation estimate
What would an S Corporation election save you?
Enter your profit and a reasonable salary. We run the full comparison, including New Jersey, before you elect.
Estimated tax saved each year as an S Corporation
Federal Social Security and Medicare taxes only, at 2026 rates. Before the added costs of payroll and a separate business return. The salary must be reasonable for the work you do.

Owners, employees or customers in more than one state.
Each state may want a return. We specialize in New Jersey and New York and file in every state that requires one.

Nonresident owner withholding
Payments the entity owes on behalf of out-of-state owners.

Common questions
Before you book.
When are business returns due?
Calendar-year S Corporation and Partnership returns are due March 15 and can be extended to September 15. C Corporation returns are due April 15 and can be extended to October 15. A single-member LLC is reported on its owner's Form 1040, also due April 15.
Should my LLC be taxed as an S Corporation?
It depends on profit, payroll cost and your state taxes. We model it both ways before you elect, because the answer is not the same for every business.
When is the pass-through entity tax election due?
New York's election must be made by March 15 of the tax year itself, so it cannot wait until the return is prepared. New Jersey's is made each year by the original due date of the entity's return. Both require quarterly estimated payments.
Is the pass-through entity tax election always worth it?
No. It depends on each owner's federal bracket, whether the cap on state and local tax deductions limits them, and where they live. Owners in different states can come out differently, so we model it before electing.
Do you handle payroll?
No. We work alongside your payroll provider and review owner compensation as part of the return.
Talk through your entity's return.
The first consultation is free. Bring last year's return and we will tell you what we would do differently.
